Quality Control Manager
Role
The Quality Control Manager will act as a key member of the site leadership team responsible for ensuring that the products manufactured at the site are safe, wholesome and comply with all applicable company, customer and regulatory requirements.
A person with a can-do attitude that drives effective change and moves the processes positively will be preferred. The position will demand an effective coach and communicator who can skillfully create an empowered and engaged workforce culture.
To be successful as a quality control manager, you should have the aptitude to check the relevant raw materials, in-process goods and finished goods, along with continuous improvement through data analysis and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Direct leadership of the site operational QA employees.
- Good knowledge of the manufacturing process of PVC stabilizers.
- Possess knowledge of inspections and testing of the raw materials, in-process manufacturing, semi-finished goods and finished goods.
- Assure that quality inspectors are well trained and support their career development paths and the company's growth plans.
- Manage and supervise QC laboratory activities.
- Use effective negotiation skills to drive alignment and resolve conflict.
- Provide coaching and constructive feedback .
- Collaborate with team and cross-functional partners.
- Evaluate data, assess and develop options .
Essential Requirements
- Proven relevant working experience of 15 years in QC of testing in chemical raw materials in a PVC or polymer manufacturing company,
- Experience in heading ISO certification or similar standards.
- Good understanding of the PVC Market, PVC products, Chemistry of polymer.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP QC module
- Hands-on experience on the shop floor in machine operations
- Proficiency in English, Hindi and at least one regional language.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport at various levels in the Company
- Efficient Time Management and Planning Skills
- BE / B. Tech. in Plastics / Chemical from a reputed institute.
Desirable Requirements
- It will be preferable to possess knowledge of the raw materials used for Metallic and Non-Metallic stabilizers, Liquid Stabilizers for PVC applications, Paint Driers, Finished Goods safety, quality, packaging, Certificate of Acceptance and TDS.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of math, data analysis, and statistical methods.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Training in environmental monitoring and auditing will be appreciated.
